About This Class

This energizing 30-minute Power Yoga flow with Steve wastes no time getting the body moving. The class opens on the floor with supine core work — single-knee hugs, bicycle-style leg exchanges, and breath-linked curl-ups — before transitioning to all-fours for cat-cow and into a foundational Down Dog/Plank/Chaturanga vinyasa sequence. Backbody strengthening is woven throughout via Locust, Superman, and Cobra/Up Dog. The standing section features runner's lunges with dynamic knee bends, twists, Warrior Two, Side Angle Pose, and Triangle on both sides. Hip-opening Pigeon is visited on each side and combined with a spinal twist; Forearm Plank and a Dolphin-inspired hip-wave series target the shoulders and core together. A seated interlude includes cross-legged forward folds, Upside-Down Plank (Purvottasana), and a seated forward fold before the class winds down with supine twists and Savasana. The instructor consistently cues breath awareness, strength over momentum, and mindfulness throughout the physical practice. A block is offered as a modification option for Side Angle Pose.

Thank you, Steve, your practice is short, sweet, quick-paced/Dynamic. I always enjoy your classes, regardless of their lengths and intensities.
