About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this richly philosophical 70-minute dynamic flow as a moving meditation, framing every transition as its own asana and returning constantly to the theme of self-care over vanity, gentleness over force. The class opens in child's pose with slow breath-building, then moves through multiple rounds of a sun-salutation-based flow (down dog, plank, cobra, crescent lunge variations) with deliberate attention to personal range of motion. Mid-class highlights include dolphin pose, standing splits into warrior-III-like airplane balance, half-moon variations (Ardha Chandrasana), elbow balance (forearm balance/bakasana prep with tripod modification), a deep squat flow with chair pose and lateral side stretches, and camel pose (ustrasana) built up progressively from a kneeling position. The floor sequence features wide-legged forward folds, pigeon-style hip openers with double pigeon (fire log / agnistambhasana), supine twists, and two full minutes of bicycle crunches for core. The class closes in a long, guided savasana emphasising gratitude and subtle breath awareness. Bryan explicitly offers modifications throughout — dropping knees in plank, using a block under the forehead, tucking toes in camel — and calls out wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries as reasons to skip certain movements. The overall experience is grounding, introspective, and full-body, pitched equally at baby boomers and younger practitioners.

Must admit the name of the class drew me in since I’m a gramma too! Loved this yoga stroll … forward bends were delicious. The class was totally invigorating and centering at the same time!

I love every class but this particular practice touched on a lot of places that I must not have touched lately as I struggled. It was a great reminder to do as much as I could and leave the ego behind. Thank-you for your continuous inspiration.

I’m eternally grateful for Bryan & the awesome power yoga community of amazing friends who practice all over the world together. Infinite love & gratitude!
