About This Class
This 73-minute dynamic flow class is built around one central theme: grounding — learning to actively press the mat away rather than passively lean on it, and feeling how that rooting action travels through the entire body to create lift, stability, and openness. Steve guides students through foundational poses — Downward Facing Dog, Warrior One, Warrior Two, Triangle, Half Moon, Crescent, Eagle, Side Plank, Bridge, and Warrior Three — while consistently drawing attention to how hands, feet, and sitting bones contact the mat. A dedicated Chaturanga tutorial breaks down upper-body alignment in a standing position before applying it to the floor. Twists in lunges and Revolved Triangle add a rotational dimension, and seated poses including Revolved Heron and Sukhasana round out the practice. The class concludes with three rounds of Kapalabhati pranayama (described as "the skull cleanser/brightener") and a generous Savasana, leaving practitioners feeling mentally clear, centred, and connected.
