About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a wide-ranging, full-body flow class anchored by an unwavering emphasis on deep, free breathing as the primary vehicle for mindfulness and stress reduction. The class opens on the floor with a reclined bound-angle pose and gentle supine twists before progressing through shoulder stand, plow, and a wide-legged seated forward fold with lateral variations. The standing sequence builds through down dog, sun salutation-style vinyasas (cobra, plank, dolphin), and an intricate one-legged flow featuring knee-to-elbow core work, wild thing/flip-dog, side plank variations, crescent lunge, warrior one, hero pose, and triangle/extended side angle sequences on both sides. The class closes with deep pigeon-style hip openers, reclined twists with eagle-leg variation, and a long savasana with an optional gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as a training ground for non-reactivity and present-moment awareness, consistently discouraging ego-driven effort and encouraging students to treat the practice as a personal "buffet." Props are not formally called for, though modifications (dropping knees, fingertips, or forearm on thigh) are offered throughout. The class suits practitioners seeking to build full-body strength and mobility while cultivating a calm, mindful state.

Enjoyed this different and sweet beginning….Challenging even my ability at the start to stay calm when my body says go, go, go:) But go we did, just a tad later:). Awww…gotta love that monkey mind!

Love the sequence. I’m in the garden a lot now. I look forward to these practices to unwind the body and brain. I feel great. Thank you Bryan and Melissa for your dedication.
