About This Class
This class opens in Child's Pose and quickly builds into a fluid, breath-led sequence covering Down Dog, Runner's Lunge (Hussain Boltasana), Balancing Lunge, Crescent Lunge, Cobra, Locust/Bow variations, and a grounding floor sequence of wide-legged forward folds, supine twists, and core work. Bryan Kest repeatedly invites students to treat every pose as a warm-up rather than a peak expression, emphasizing sensitivity over intensity and encouraging personal modification throughout. The second half transitions to the floor with deep hip openers (pigeon-style), wide-legged seated forward folds targeting hamstrings, groin, and glutes, followed by core scissors and a quiet Savasana. The overall tone is candid, self-compassionate, and slightly irreverent, framing the practice as a way to keep the body supple and age gracefully rather than to achieve aesthetic goals.
