About This Class

This 64-minute dynamic flow with Bryan Kest opens in Child's Pose and builds steadily through a rich, interconnected sequence that includes Down Dog flows, Cobra repetitions, one-legged standing balances (Crescent Lunge, Core Twist, Warrior-style variations, Airplane/Warrior III, and bent-knee balancing), arm balances (Crow/Elbow Balance and Tripod), deep hip-opening figure-four supine stretches, Bow Pose, and finishing supine twists. Bryan weaves breath awareness throughout, emphasizing deep, free nasal breathing as both a cardiovascular and centering tool. The class has a strong emphasis on shoulder opening and upper-body strength (laced-finger back lifts, one-armed Down Dogs, shoulder-stretching in Bow Pose), quadriceps and hip-flexor work through lunges and quad grabs, and hamstring lengthening in forward folds and standing splits. He frequently offers modifications—knee down, skipping jumps, using blocks—and explicitly invites students to rest whenever needed. The practice closes with supine figure-four hip openers, spine twists, and an extended Savasana with a gratitude meditation, making it a well-rounded, invigorating yet mindfully paced session.

Brought out the humility in that one… definitely felt the burn in lots of different places, especially the ankles. But always beautifully perfect even when facing those “vicissitudes.”:)
